Talk to Your Employer – It’s important that you take care of your responsibility to your job. Let them know exactly what you know even if that isn’t much or it involves a lot of what if’s. Your employer can give you the number to your benefits office so you can tell them what’s going on.
Talk to Your Benefits Office – They will let you know exactly what your company can do for you. You may be able to take a medical leave for up to a certain point and get paid for it. After that you may be able to take additional weeks at no pay. This could be beneficial depending on the amount of time you need off and what your financial situation is.
Talk to Your Pharmacist – They will play a vital role in your aid and recovery. So ask them about the medications you know you will be taking and possible prescription drug side effects and they should be able to shed some light on some things you need to know.
Talk to Your Family – Let them know you are scared but that you are ready and let them know what you might need from them. Everyone wants to help you.
